                                       Loved Ones,

Zion National Park

Ho, ho, ho and a Merry Christmas to all from the Phillips family!  We hope that this holiday season finds your family happy and healthy.   For those of you who are keeping track, this is our 13th annual Christmas letter.

Wolf Creek Pass

We began our annual Christmas letters just after Andrea joined our family in 1991 and we now continue that tradition with the announcement of the newest addition to the family.  In July, Andrea and Alyssa were joined by a new sister, Camilla, our family cat.  (Did we get you?)  Camilla may be the ugliest cat on earth, but she grows on you after a while.

We’ve had a busy year—Alyssa is in kindergarten (she’s beginning to study her alphabet); Andrea is completing middle school (we suspect that she’s learning to study boys); Mom’s still practicing nursing—taking care of both her patients and her family; and, Dad, we’re not always sure what he does.

Andrea and Dad went to the Holy Land (Palestine, Israel and Jordan) during spring break.  They had a ball even though Andrea had a small mishap with a galloping steed at Petra and got the opportunity to see the inside of a Jordanian hospital.  Ambulance ride, emergency visit and head X-ray: $7.50.  (Our guide claimed that we were “robbed” at that price!)

The family found the perfect way to enjoy a peaceful vacation this year. We each visited separate states.  At the right, you’ll see us at “Four Corners” with Tom in UT , Annette in CO , Andrea in NM and Alyssa in AZ .  We also visited the Grand Canyon, Canyonlands, Bryce, Arches and Zion National Parks.  You can see the whole trip at Tom’s web page:  http://faculty.ccu.edu/tphillips/Default.htm.

                                                                        Merry Christmas,

                                                                        Tom, Annette, Andrea, Alyssa
